How the Shop Hop Works - 2011

The dates for the Vermont Shop Hop 2011 are Friday, March 11th through Sunday, March 20th. Each shop will be open 9-6 every day, except Sunday, March 21st, when shops will close at 3pm. (Note: Regular shop hours may be different.)

You purchase a passport for $5, plus tax, at any of the participating shops. The first 500 Shop Hoppers will receive a free premium (such as a tote bag or binder) when they visit their first shop during the Hop.

To be eligible to win all prizes, particularly the First and Second prizes, you must have your passport stamped at all 17 shops during the Shop Hop. You must be present, in person, to have your passport stamped.

If you have visited at least seven shops you will be entered for the Third, Fourth and Fifth prizes. You are eligible for the top two prizes only if you visit all 17 shops! The back cover of the passport must be turned in at one of the 17 shops before 3pm on Sunday, March 20th.

Visit each shop, enjoying the unique look and inventory of each store and discovering new patterns, ideas, fabrics, books, and other gifts. You might win a door prize or get a special treat when you visit - each store has its own activities. Sign up for a raffle prize (valued at $75) at each shop - don't forget to bring self-stick address labels! There is an ad for each shop in the passport and many offer a coupon that can be used during or after the Shop Hop.

Special fabrics have been designed exclusively for Vermont Shop Hop 2011 and will be available only at participating Vermont quilt shops.

Answer the trivia questions in the passport for a chance at a special prize drawing. Also, there will be a game or two to play along the way. Games will be announced here or posted at the shops about a month before the Shop Hop begins. Entries will be eligible for additional special prize drawings! Turn in your trivia answers on the answer blanks on the inside back page of the passport. The Trivia questions and games are optional.

Make sure your name, postal address, phone number and e-mail address are on the passport. Print carefully so we can call you if you win one of the prizes. (Remember: If we can't read your contact information, we won't be able to notify you!)

Bring a smile and enjoy yourself!
