Join Us in Celebrating America's 250th Birthday with
Quilts of Valor Donations!
The Quilts of Valor (QOV) Foundation is all about expressing gratitude to our veterans and active duty military members for their service to our nation.
This year, in celebration of America's semiquincentennial, we are partnering with the QOV foundation to take in donated quilts. Drop off your QOV to any participating shop during the Shop Hop, and we will get it to the Vermont Coordinator.
A QOV does not have to be red, white, and blue, but patriotic colors are very popular with recipients. Patterns and blocks can be of any design suitable for a patriotic theme. The ideal size is approximately 60" x 80". Finished size can be no smaller than 55" x 65" and no larger than 72" x 90". The quilt must be machine or hand quilted (a tied quilt is not acceptable). If you are unable to machine or hand quilt your quilt, you can drop off a top, batting, and backing, and a QOV longarming volunteer will quilt it. Please note that any backings being provided must be 8" wider and 8" longer than the top. We will have QOV labels available for you to pick up and attach to your quilt.
Visit www.qovf.org/make-a-qov/ for a full list of quilt requirements.
